Hey. Hi. Hello.
I'm Laura Adams—creative director, lifecycle marketer, word person.
From packing boxes at indie record labels to leading lifecycle creative for a Fortune 500 company, my career has been built around one conviction: honest, human storytelling changes things.
Intro
I'm Laura Adams—a creative director, a recovering journalist, a team builder, and someone who still gets genuinely excited about a well-crafted sentence. I believe that the best stories are backed by thoughtful structure, and the best systems need a human story in front of them.

Work
Right now I'm serving as Interim Global Head of Lifecycle Creative at Intuit, leading creative strategy across seven brands including QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Before that I spent several years as a content lead and copywriter on the same team—which means I've grown up inside this work, not just managed it. I care about the craft, the people doing it, and building things that last longer than any one campaign.
01
QuickBooks Advanced Growth campaign
Our Lifecycle mid-market team hit their +40% growth target for the first time ever—71% YoY growth on a mature brand metric. Our marketing partners attributed the result directly to our team's involvement. (Sometimes the work just lands the way you hoped it would.)
02
Scaled our team from 1 brand to 7
My goal: act like it wasn’t a big deal. With help from my operations partners, we coordinated the onboarding of 10 contractors, ran a full-day leadership workshop, and built the systems that made it all stick.
03
AI workflow development
Hot-take: AI is most useful when a human who understands the work drives it. Our team built Claude-based skills for QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit voice and tone, plus a brief builder that generates creative briefs directly from strategy decks. From there, we tokenized our email component library so we could pilot workflows projected to reduce production SLAs by 80%.
04
Intuit Avatars
The right creative infrastructure, built well, scales in ways you don't expect. I contributed to the launch of Intuit's AI avatar system, which logged 35.5 million tokens during our Global Engineering Days alone—the equivalent of 3,000+ hours of continuous use.
My CV
I'm currently serving as Interim Global Head of Lifecycle Creative at Intuit, leading creative strategy across QuickBooks, Mailchimp, and Intuit Enterprise Suite, and more—a role I stepped into after several years as a content lead. Before that, I was the team’s first copywriter. My background is in journalism and editorial—I spent years as a journalist, editor, and even Editor-in-Chief before I ever touched a marketing brief. A producer once told me I run my team like a newsroom, and honestly, she was right: high standards, fast cycles, every word accountable to something. I think that's shaped how I lead more than anything else.
I'm based in Macon, Georgia and work remotely. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me playing with my kids, running on trails with my dog (really far—maybe too far), or playing my piano. During meetings, I’m either taking notes or thoughtfully doodling in the margins.
