Hey. Hi. Hello.

I'm Laura Relyea.
That's pronounced |rel•yā|

I live, write, and run in Corinth, Vermont.

My essays, reviews, poems, and features have been published in Oxford American, The Bitter Southerner, Thought Catalog, Monkey Bicycle, Necessary Fiction, and elsewhere.

For two years, November 2015 through November 2017, I was the Executive Editor of ArtsATL, Atlanta's only publication solely dedicated to the arts. Prior to that I was a Writer & Editor with the creative, story-driven think tank at Edgar Allan. Before that I worked at Scoutmob as the Managing Editor, and prior to that contributed at Creative Loafing, and PASTE

My book, All Glitter Everything, a collection of flash prose, was released by Deer Bear Wolf in March 2015. A portion of the book was included in The 2015 &Now Experimental Fiction Anthology, released biennially by the University of Notre Dame.

In 2013 I was selected by ArtsATL as one of their 30 Under 30 for my work with Vouched Books, a not-for-profit organization that supports independent literature in Atlanta and elsewhere around the country. Currently, John Carroll and I co-curate Transgression, Deer Bear Wolf's immersive literary series.

Now, my husband, Jake Adams, and I are slowing down the pace of our lives and focus on nurturing the earth and the community around us. Thanks to the generosity of Tom and Karen Reed, we have moved to Corinth, Vermont where he will farm and I will establish a retreat for artists, writers and touring musicians.  Atlanta will always have a big space in my heart and mind. I am forever in its debt for the opportunities and people it brought into my life.
